We are an installation company, who undertake Energy surveys of properties to assess their efficiency and make any recommendations to reduce energy costs and reduce emissions, thus improving the Carbon footprint.
Energy Performance Reports:
These detail potential savings that could be achieved by improving control of electrical energy usage, more efficient equipment or fittings, or other methods or systems. These produce both financial to the end user and benefits to the environment.
The reports are also issued with a cost plan showing the cost to apply the any recommendations and the payback period to recover the costs.
Winters can propose different financial packages including Green Deal for energy improvement packages, and arrange these if required.
Energy Performance Certificate:
Winters can arrange for EPC’s to be completed on properties. The EPC shows the energy efficiency rating (relating to running costs) of a dwelling. The rating is shown on an A–G rating scale similar to those used for refrigerators and other electrical appliances. These are required if Green deal Funding is to be applied for.

LED products provide market leading energy savings of up to 85% of the electricity of equivalent fluorescent or halogen lighting.
Solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells don't need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting.
These work by harnessing the earth’s heat. It keeps the house comfortable and warm without causing any kind of harm to the environment as the traditional methods did.
A heat recovery system will keep your house fully ventilated throughout the year, whilst recovering the heat already inside your home. It brings fresh air from the outside and recycles the otherwise wasted heat from bathroom and kitchen areas. Anywhere where there is a high heat or moisture content will be used to power the heat recovery unit and keep efficiencies high.
Generate electricity at home with small-scale wind turbines. Wind turbines harness the power of the wind and use it to generate electricity. Forty percent of all the wind energy in Europe blows over the UK, making it an ideal country for domestic turbines (known as 'microwind' or 'small-wind' turbines). A typical system in an exposed site could easily generate more power than your lights and electrical appliances use.
Better control of your lighting, and switching off lights when they are not required will help improve your lighting costs, and help reduce your carbon footprint. These measures include:
- Occupancy sensors: By dimming or switching off lighting when there is nobody in a room occupancy sensors can reduce electricity use by 30%.
- Daylight sensors: Adjusting the artificial lighting according to the amount of natural light in a room using daylight sensors or photocells can reduce electricity use by up to 40%.
- Maintenance plan: By regularly cleaning fixtures that contain lamps, known as luminaires, will improve their performance.
